We are people who rejoice in the compassion and the justice of God as revealed in Jesus. We relish the majestic language and music and liturgies of times past and present. We treasure the Bible so much that we refuse to take it literally. We interpret Scripture with our God-given minds through tradition, reason, and ever new discoveries of the wonders of God’s creation.
The people who gather at Christ Church come from all over the greater Dayton area. They are drawn to the heart of the city to this open and diverse community where all are welcome in the fullness of their gender, race, culture, ethnicity, age, and sexual orientation. We welcome committed Christians, struggling agnostics, and all people of good will.
We are committed to the values of God’s realm on earth that show special concern for the welfare of the poor, the weak, the victims of war and discrimination, the outcasts of our world. .
We offer numerous Christian formation programs for people of all ages to engage our minds, warm our hearts, and transform our lives.
